How to modify the name and URL of a page

From Website → Pages, click the three dots on a page and choose Edit this page to rename it or change its URL. Both fields are translatable per language via flag icons.

Overview

You can rename a page on your website and change the URL it lives at — both edits happen in the same form, and both can be set per active language. This article walks through the editor.

Before you start

  • You need the Can edit the website permission to manage pages.

  • The Home, Rooms and Contact pages can be renamed and their URLs can be edited, but they can't be deleted.

  • URLs can only contain standard characters (letters, numbers, hyphens). Special characters and accents are stripped on save.

  • Both the page name and URL are translatable per language. Use the flag icons next to each field to set the value for each language you've activated.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. In the sidebar, go to WebsitePages. You'll see the list of pages on your site.

  2. On the row of the page to modify, click the three dots and choose Edit this page. You're redirected to the page edit form.

1. Change the page name

  1. In the Name field, type the new name for the page.

  2. Click each flag icon next to the field to set the name for every language you've activated.

  3. Click Save.

2. Change the page URL

  1. In the URL field (same form, below the name), type the new URL slug.

  2. Use the flag icons to set a different URL per language if needed — useful for translated sites.

  3. Make sure the URL only uses letters, numbers and hyphens. Special characters (accents, spaces, symbols) are stripped automatically on save.

  4. Click Save.

FAQs

Which characters can I use in a page URL?

Letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (-) only. Accents (é, à, ñ…), spaces and special symbols (%, &, ?, …) are stripped automatically when you save.

Can I have a different URL per language?

Yes. Click the flag icon next to the URL field to enter the URL for each active language. This is recommended for translated sites so that, for example, the Spanish URL reads /habitaciones and the English one reads /rooms.

I changed a page URL — will the old URL still work?

No. Once you save, the old URL stops working. Any external link, social-media post or QR code that pointed to the old URL becomes a broken link. Plan the change carefully if the page already has traffic.

Can I rename the built-in pages (Home, Rooms, Contact)?

Yes. The Home, Rooms and Contact pages are built into every Amenitiz website — they can't be deleted, but you can edit their name and URL the same way as any other page.

Where do I add or delete a page?

In the same WebsitePages section. The Add a page button is in the top-right; deletion is in the three-dots menu next to each row. Full walkthrough in how to add, modify or delete a page on the website.
