This article lists the recommended image sizes, file formats and compression settings so photos load fast and look sharp across your Amenitiz website, Booking Engine and OTAs.
Use this article when you prepare photos for upload — a new property, a seasonal refresh, or after a photo shoot.
Before you start
Prepare photos in landscape format when possible — hero banners and OTAs prefer it.
Maximum upload size per image: 5 MB.
Supported formats: JPG, PNG.
Recommended dimensions
Website hero banner — 1920 × 1080 px (16:9).
Website gallery / Accommodation photos — 1600 × 1067 px (3:2).
Amenity icons / cards — 800 × 600 px (4:3).
Booking Engine cover — 1200 × 800 px (3:2).
OTA primary photo — 2048 × 1365 px (3:2). OTA reviewers reject anything smaller than 1024 × 683 px.
Logo — PNG with a transparent background, ideally 400 × 400 px.
File format and compression
Prefer JPG for photos. Target quality 80%–85%.
Use PNG only for logos and graphics with transparency.
Compress each photo to stay between 200 KB and 500 KB.
Strip EXIF metadata if possible — it reduces file size and avoids leaking location data.
⚠️ Warning
Oversized photos (above 5 MB or much larger than the recommended dimensions) slow down your website and may be rejected by OTA reviewers.

Yes. Amenitiz generates web-optimised versions from the original file. Uploading large, high-quality originals still gives the best output — do not pre-shrink the files below the dimensions above.
