How to add amenities to an accommodation

Show your room features (TV, WiFi, balcony, AC, kettle…) on your Amenitiz website and Booking Engine — build an account amenity library, then tick which ones each accommodation has. Direct channels only; OTAs use their own lists.

Overview

Amenities are the perks each accommodation offers — TV, WiFi, balcony, air conditioning, kettle, and so on. The setup happens in two passes: first you build an account-wide library of the amenities your hotel can offer, then you tick which ones each accommodation actually has.

Amenities show up on your Amenitiz website and Booking Engine. OTAs (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.) maintain their own amenity lists — those have to be managed on each OTA extranet separately.


Before you start

  • An amenity has to exist in your account library before you can tick it on an accommodation. If something's missing from the Room amenities list when you go to edit a room, add it at the account level first.

  • The amenities you tick here only appear on your direct channels (website + Booking Engine). The OTAs ignore this list — set amenities directly in each OTA's extranet.

  • You'll see the sidebar label spelled Accomodations in the product — that's the current label used throughout Amenitiz.


Step by step

  1. Build your account amenity library. Go to PropertyAmenities in the sidebar and add the amenities your hotel offers. These become available for any accommodation.

  2. Open the accommodation you want to update: go to PropertyAccomodations, find the room in the list, click the three-dot menu () and select Edit room.

  3. Scroll down to the Room amenities section and tick the amenities this accommodation has. The list reflects what you built in step 1.

  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply the changes. The new amenities show up on the room's page on your website and Booking Engine within a few seconds.


FAQs

Do these amenities show on Booking.com, Airbnb and other OTAs?

No. Amenities ticked in Amenitiz only appear on your direct website and Booking Engine. Each OTA keeps its own amenity catalog — you have to set them up in each OTA's extranet separately. We don't sync this field outbound to channels.


Where do the amenities appear on the guest-facing site?

On the room's detail page (the page guests land on when they click an accommodation from your homepage or rooms list) and in the Booking Engine when guests pick a room to book. The label is grouped under Amenities with icons next to each item.


I added an amenity at the account level but it doesn't show on the room — why?

The two-step setup is sequential: adding an amenity at PropertyAmenities makes it available to tick, but you still have to open each accommodation and tick the new amenity in the Room amenities section, then save. If you've done that and it's still not showing, hard-refresh the room's page on your website.


Can I add a custom amenity that isn't in the default list?

Yes. Amenitiz seeds a starter set on signup (TV, WiFi, balcony, air conditioning, and so on), but at PropertyAmenities you can add your own. Give it a name in at least one language and it becomes available to tick on any accommodation. Each hotel's amenity list is independent.
