📌 Phased rollout — The new Chekin integration activates gradually for all hotels. If you don't see the Chekin Portal in your sidebar yet, you haven't been migrated — your current Chekin setup keeps working as before.
Overview
When Chekin is activated, every guest with an email address goes through the same online check-in flow without any work from you. This article explains what the guest sees, what you see, and what is sent to the authorities.
How the flow works
1. Booking is created
A guest books your property — directly, via your Booking Engine, or through an OTA like Booking.com or Airbnb (when they share an email). Amenitiz sends the booking to Chekin.
2. Automated email goes out
Amenitiz immediately sends the guest the Chekin Guest SDK automated email. The email is in the guest's preferred language and contains:
Their booking reference, check-in date, and check-out date.
A Complete online check-in button per booked room, linking to your hotel's online check-in page.
📌 Note — The email keeps sending until the guest completes the form. It stops automatically once the data is collected.
3. Guest completes the form on your website
The check-in page is hosted under your hotel's own website (not chekin.com). It shows your logo, address, and contact details in the header and footer. The guest:
Confirms or fills in their personal details (name, ID, address, nationality).
Uploads or photographs their ID document, if your country requires it.
Signs the check-in form, if you set up a contract.
4. Data syncs to Amenitiz automatically
As soon as the guest submits the form, Amenitiz updates the client record on the booking. You do not need to fetch anything manually.

5. Chekin submits to the authorities
Chekin sends the guest data to the local authorities (Polizia di Stato + ISTAT, SEF, SES Hospedajes, SIRE, INM, etc.) nightly at 11 PM local time. You can also trigger the submission manually from the Chekin Portal.
Important rules
📌 Note — If a guest books with no email (common on Booking.com and Airbnb), the automated email is not sent. Send the check-in link through the OTA inbox instead. See: How to send Chekin check-in links and remote access codes through OTA messages.
⚠️ Warning — For police submission to succeed, every required field in Property Info in the Chekin Portal must be filled. Missing fields block submissions to the authorities.
Important — Only the lead guest's details sync back to the client record on the booking in Amenitiz. Additional guests on the same reservation are visible only in the Chekin Portal.

Open the Chekin Portal in your Amenitiz sidebar, go to the Bookings tab, and look at the status (Completed vs. Incomplete / On hold). The client details on the booking in Amenitiz will also be filled in automatically.

Yes. Go to Settings → Templates and open the Chekin Guest SDK template. You can adjust the wording and detach it from specific rooms if needed.
