Chekin automates guest data collection and sends it to Polizia di Stato and ISTAT on your behalf. This guide covers activation from the Amenitiz Marketplace and setup on the Chekin side.

What Chekin does for your property
Data sync — bookings and guest contact details flow from Amenitiz to Chekin automatically.
Legal compliance — Polizia di Stato and ISTAT submissions from a single interface.
Guest self check-in — guests enter ID details on their phone, by photo or manual entry.
Automated submissions — Chekin sends guest data to Polizia di Stato nightly at 11 PM.
⚠️ Warning
Chekin is a separate platform. Day-to-day operations happen on www.chekin.com, not in Amenitiz.
Part 1 — Activate Chekin from Amenitiz

Step-by-step
1. Open the Amenitiz admin area and go to Marketplace. Search for Chekin.
2. Click Activate.
3. Enter your email and password.
4. Select Hotel or Vacation Rental based on your property.
Important
Create the Chekin account from the Amenitiz Marketplace. Signing up directly on chekin.com breaks the integration.
⚠️ Warning
The property type (Hotel or Vacation Rental) cannot be changed later. To switch, you must delete the Chekin account and activate it again from the Marketplace.
Part 2 — Set up your account on Chekin
Once activated, you are redirected to www.chekin.com. Log in with the credentials you just set.
Step 1 — Configure your property

Step-by-step
1. Go to the Properties tab and click your property name.
2. Property Info — check every field is filled, then click Save Changes.
3. Online check-in — toggle Send online check-in to guests automatically and pick when the form is sent (when the reservation is created, 24h before check-in, etc.). Click Save Changes.
4. Legal — connect Polizia di Stato and ISTAT:
• Toggle Activate the automatic sending of guest data to your police account and enter your Polizia di Stato credentials.
• Toggle Activate the automatic sending of guest data to your ISTAT account and enter your ISTAT credentials.
• Click Save Changes.
📌 Note
Missing fields in Property Info will block submissions to Polizia di Stato and ISTAT.
How to confirm it is set up correctly
Step 2 — Monitor booking status
Open the Bookings tab to follow guest data completion. Each guest shows a status:
☑️ Completed — all guest data was collected and sent to the authorities.
👮 Incomplete / On hold — some fields are missing; Chekin cannot submit.
If guests have not filled the form, resend it by email from Chekin or copy the link and share it through your own channels. 👇
If the automatic 11 PM submission did not go through, open the reservation, go to Police (Check-in), and click Send manually. 👇
Import guest data back into Amenitiz
Once a guest completes the form in Chekin, you can pull their details into Amenitiz. See: How to fetch guest information from Chekin.
FAQs
Can I sign up directly on chekin.com?
No. The integration only works if the account is created from Amenitiz → Marketplace → Chekin → Activate.
Can I change the property type later (Hotel ↔ Vacation Rental)?
No. Delete the Chekin account and activate it again from the Amenitiz Marketplace.
At what time does Chekin send guest data to Polizia di Stato?
Nightly at 11 PM (local time).
A guest has not filled the form — what can I do?
Resend the email from Chekin or copy the form link and share it with the guest directly.
I use Nuki or another digital key — can I connect it through Chekin?
Contact Amenitiz support. The team will confirm which digital key systems can be integrated.
