How to connect Amenitiz with Expedia

How to connect your Amenitiz account with Expedia — eligibility, how to set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider, what to send to support, and how to open your rate plans once the sync is live.

Overview

This article explains how to connect your Amenitiz account with Expedia. Once the connection is live, availability and rates sync automatically from Amenitiz to Expedia, and new Expedia bookings flow into your Amenitiz calendar. The connection is finalised by Amenitiz support after you set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider on Expedia and send the required information.

Before you start

Confirm the following before requesting the connection — Amenitiz support cannot complete it if any of these are missing:

  • Your Expedia property has been approved by Expedia. If you're still in the Expedia onboarding phase, wait for their confirmation.

  • The number of rooms and units in Expedia matches Amenitiz exactly, with identical room names and structure. Amenitiz can't modify your Expedia inventory directly.

  • Your OTA rate plans are created and active in both platforms, and each rate plan in Amenitiz has a counterpart in Expedia (e.g. Standard on both sides, Non-refundable on both sides).

  • You've written down your room mapping — which Amenitiz room corresponds to which Expedia room.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Match your rate plans on both platforms. Each Amenitiz rate plan needs an equivalent on Expedia. The cleanest setup is to keep only the rate plans you actually want connected (e.g. Standard and Non-refundable) and create matching plans in Amenitiz, naming them clearly (e.g. Expedia Non-refundable). Here's how to create an OTA rate plan in Amenitiz.

  2. Set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider on Expedia. Log in to Expedia Partner Central, go to Rooms & RatesConnectivity Settings, select Amenitiz as your connectivity provider for availability, rules, and bookings, and save. Wait for Expedia to confirm the update.

  3. Send the connection request to Amenitiz support. Email [email protected] with the subject Request to Connect Amenitiz with Expedia. Include:

    • Your Amenitiz account name.

    • Your Expedia Property ID (click your property name in the top-right corner of Partner Central to find it).

    • Your room mapping — which Amenitiz room ID links to which Expedia room ID.

    • The rate plans you want to link (with the matching Amenitiz and Expedia names).

  4. Open your rate plans in Amenitiz once the connection is live. Go to PlanningInventory, use Bulk Update, pick the rooms and rate plans you want to enable, set the date range, choose Open Rate, and confirm. Amenitiz will sync availability and rates to Expedia automatically.

Troubleshooting

  1. Rate plan not appearing on Expedia. Make sure the rate plan is created and active on both Amenitiz and Expedia, and that it's linked to the right rooms in Booking EnginePricing.

  2. Sync issues after the connection is live. Verify that each Amenitiz rate plan is correctly mapped to its Expedia counterpart, and that the rate plan is open for the dates you're checking.

  3. New room not syncing. If you've added a room in Amenitiz after the connection was set up, contact [email protected] — new rooms need to be mapped manually before they sync to Expedia.

FAQs

Where do I find my Expedia Property ID?

In Expedia Partner Central, click your property name in the top-right corner — the Property ID appears next to it.

What if my Expedia property isn't approved yet?

Wait for Expedia to confirm your property is approved before requesting the Amenitiz connection. You can't map rooms or sync data while the property is still in onboarding on Expedia's side.

How do I match rate plans between Amenitiz and Expedia?

Each Amenitiz rate plan needs an Expedia equivalent with matching pricing type and sales terms. For example, an Expedia Non-refundable rate plan in Amenitiz maps to a Non-refundable rate plan on Expedia. Keep both sides as simple as possible — delete Expedia rate plans you don't intend to connect, so the mapping is unambiguous.

What happens to my existing Expedia bookings?

Bookings made before the connection won't import automatically. To avoid overbookings, add them manually to your Amenitiz calendar before the sync goes live.

Can I manage availability and rates from Amenitiz once connected?

Yes. After the connection is finalised, you manage availability, rates, and restrictions in Amenitiz, and changes sync automatically to Expedia. Don't update rates directly on Expedia — they'll be overwritten on the next sync.
