How to connect Amenitiz with Booking.com

How to connect your Amenitiz account with Booking.com — eligibility, how to set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider, the XML rate requirement, and what to send to support.

Overview

This article explains how to connect your Amenitiz account with Booking.com. Once the connection is live, availability and rates sync automatically from Amenitiz to Booking.com, and new Booking.com bookings flow into your Amenitiz calendar. The connection is finalised by Amenitiz support after you set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider on Booking.com and send the required information.

Before you start

Confirm the following before requesting the connection — Amenitiz support cannot complete it if any of these are missing:

  • The number of rooms and units on Booking.com matches Amenitiz exactly, with identical names and structure (e.g. Room A, Room B configured the same way on both platforms). Amenitiz can't modify your Booking.com inventory directly.

  • Your OTA rate plans are active in Amenitiz and linked to the correct rooms, and each Amenitiz rate plan has a matching plan on Booking.com. For example, your Booking.com Standard Rate maps to your Amenitiz Booking/OTA Rate; a Non-Refundable rate on Booking.com maps to a Non-Refundable Booking/OTA Rate in Amenitiz. Here's more about OTA rates.

  • All rates planned for the connection are XML-compatible on both Booking.com and Amenitiz (see step 2).

  • If you use price per person in Amenitiz (PropertyAccommodations), the same is configured on Booking.com (Rates & AvailabilityPricing per Guest). If only one side uses it, align them before requesting the connection.

  • You've written down your room mapping — which Amenitiz room links to which Booking.com room/unit. Note the last three digits of each Booking.com room ID for accuracy. Room/unit IDs appear in the Booking.com calendar view (under the room name) or on the property details page in the extranet.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Set Amenitiz as your connectivity provider on Booking.com. Log in to your Booking.com Extranet, click the Account icon (top right), go to Connectivity Provider, search for Amenitiz, and select it as your provider. Make sure Extranet Access is checked — it's essential for full functionality. Booking.com's own guide on this is here if you need more detail.

  2. Make sure all your Booking.com rates are XML rates. Go to Rates & AvailabilityCalendarRate Plans in your Booking.com Extranet. Every rate should be labelled Managed by your calendar or Mapped from Amenitiz (XML RATE). If any rate shows Not XML RATE, contact Booking.com support to change it before continuing — Amenitiz can't sync against non-XML rates.

  3. Send the connection request to Amenitiz support. Email [email protected] with the subject Request to Connect Amenitiz with Booking.com. Include:

    • Your Amenitiz account name.

    • Your Booking.com Property ID. Find it in the Booking.com Extranet, displayed next to the Booking.com logo and your property name on the dashboard. You can also find it in Amenitiz under Channel ManagerOTAs.

    • Your room mapping — Amenitiz room names alongside the matching Booking.com room/unit names and IDs.

    • The rate plans you want to link (with the matching Amenitiz and Booking.com names).

FAQs

Where do I find my Booking.com Property ID?

In the Booking.com Extranet, the Property ID appears next to the Booking.com logo and your property name on the dashboard or in the property details section. If you're already connected to other OTAs through Amenitiz, you can also find it in Channel ManagerOTAs.

What if a rate shows "Not XML RATE" on Booking.com?

Amenitiz can only sync against XML rates. Contact Booking.com support and ask them to convert the rate plan to an XML rate. Once Booking.com confirms the change, you can include the rate plan in your connection request.

How do I add a new accommodation after the connection is set up?

First, create the new room in both Booking.com and Amenitiz with identical names and structure. Then contact [email protected] so the team can map the new room and add it to your existing connection — new rooms don't sync automatically.

Where do I find my Booking.com room/unit IDs?

Room and unit IDs appear in the Booking.com calendar view (shown under each room name) or on the property details page in the Booking.com Extranet. The last three digits are usually enough to map each room uniquely.

What happens to my existing Booking.com bookings made before the connection?

Pre-connection bookings won't be imported automatically. To avoid overbookings, add each one manually to your Amenitiz calendar before the sync goes live.

Can I manage availability and rates from Amenitiz once connected?

Yes. After the connection is finalised, you manage availability, rates, and restrictions in Amenitiz, and changes sync automatically to Booking.com. Don't update rates directly on Booking.com — they'll be overwritten on the next sync.
