Overview
If you want to offer a new pricing on an OTA, you need to create the matching rate plan on Amenitiz and ask Amenitiz support to add it to your channel manager connection. Until the new rate plan is connected, reservations made on that rate plan on the OTA side won't sync into Amenitiz.
Before you start
The new rate plan must exist on both the OTA and Amenitiz with matching names and conditions — otherwise our team can't link them.
On Booking.com, every connected rate plan has to be XML (managed from Amenitiz). Derived plans labelled "x% higher/lower than the standard rate" can't sync prices through the channel manager.
On Airbnb, only one rate plan can be connected per listing. You can still create promotions on the Airbnb side.
Step-by-step instructions
Create the new rate plan on Amenitiz so it mirrors the one you've added on the OTA. Names and conditions should match (e.g. Non-refundable on the OTA → Non-refundable on Amenitiz).
If the new rate plan is independent (not derived from another rate plan in your inventory), set its prices, restrictions, and opening/closing in the Amenitiz inventory for each accommodation it applies to.
Contact [email protected] with the OTA name, the new rate plan name on both sides, and the rooms it applies to. Our team will update your existing channel manager connection to include the new rate plan.
Booking.com: derived vs independent rate plans
Booking.com lets you create two kinds of rate plans. Both can be connected to Amenitiz, but they behave differently:
Independent rate plans (XML). Mapped directly to a matching Amenitiz rate plan. Prices, restrictions, and availability sync from Amenitiz to Booking.com in real time. Recommended when you want full Amenitiz control over the new rate plan.
Derived rate plans. Prices are calculated from the Booking.com standard rate (e.g. 10% lower). Reservations still flow into Amenitiz, but pricing isn't controlled from Amenitiz — you adjust the derived rule on Booking.com itself. Configure minimum/maximum stay and other restrictions directly in Booking.com for derived plans.
FAQs
What happens to reservations on a rate plan that isn't connected yet?
What happens to reservations on a rate plan that isn't connected yet?
They won't reach Amenitiz automatically. Until support adds the new rate plan to your channel manager connection, any bookings made on that rate plan on the OTA need to be entered manually in your Amenitiz calendar.
Do I need to create the rate plan on Amenitiz before contacting support?
Do I need to create the rate plan on Amenitiz before contacting support?
Yes. Support can only link rate plans that already exist on both sides. Create the matching Amenitiz rate plan first, set its prices and restrictions in the inventory, then send the request.
What about Airbnb — can I add a second rate plan?
What about Airbnb — can I add a second rate plan?
No. Airbnb only supports a single connected rate plan per listing. You can run promotions on the Airbnb side instead of creating a new rate plan.
If my Booking.com rate plan is derived, will reservations still sync?
If my Booking.com rate plan is derived, will reservations still sync?
Yes — reservations flow into Amenitiz from both independent and derived rate plans. The difference is pricing: derived plans get their price from the Booking.com standard rate, not from Amenitiz, so you'll manage that rate on Booking.com.
