How to activate Lightspeed

Activate Lightspeed (K-series) from the Amenitiz Marketplace and configure Amenitiz as a payment method in Lightspeed to send restaurant charges to reservations.

Overview

Lightspeed is a restaurant point-of-sale (POS) system that integrates with Amenitiz so restaurant charges can be added to a guest's reservation and settled at checkout — including through AmenitizPay, so you don't have to ask for card details again. Activation has two parts: enable Lightspeed in the Amenitiz Marketplace, then configure Amenitiz as a payment method on the Lightspeed side.

Before you start

  • The integration only works with the Lightspeed K-series.

  • You need an active Lightspeed account. If you don't have one, contact our support team — we'll connect you with our dedicated Lightspeed agent who will help you set it up.

  • Lightspeed is available in countries including France, Switzerland, Morocco, and the French overseas territories.


Step 1 — Activate Lightspeed in Amenitiz

  1. Go to Marketplace from your Amenitiz admin, search for Lightspeed, and open the tile.

  2. Click Activate.

  3. Sign in with the email and password from your Lightspeed account. The connection is now established.


Step 2 — Configure Amenitiz in Lightspeed

  1. In your Lightspeed account, go to ConfigurationSettingsPayment methods.

  2. Click Add a payment method.

  3. Fill in the fields:

    • Code: IKPMS

    • Name: Amenitiz

    • Accounting reference: Amenitiz

    • Payment method type: Charge to room

    • PMS server: Other

    Leave all other fields blank.

  4. Click Save.

💡 Verify

From Lightspeed, send a restaurant bill to Amenitiz by selecting Amenitiz as the payment method and picking the guest or room. Open the reservation in Amenitiz and check the Charges tab — the charge should appear there, categorized as Lightspeed.


FAQs

I don't have a Lightspeed account yet — what do I do?

Contact our support team via email or chat. We'll put you in touch with our dedicated Lightspeed agent, who'll walk you through the tool and help you create your account.


Does the integration work with all Lightspeed versions?

No — only the Lightspeed K-series. Other Lightspeed product lines aren't supported.


If I edit a charge in Lightspeed, does it update in Amenitiz?

No. The sync is one-way: charges flow from Lightspeed into Amenitiz when you send a bill, but later edits on the Lightspeed side aren't reflected in Amenitiz. Make corrections on the Amenitiz reservation if needed.


How are Lightspeed charges shown on the reservation?

They appear under the Charges tab of the reservation and are automatically categorized as Lightspeed, so you can filter and identify them easily.


Can guests pay restaurant charges through AmenitizPay?

Yes. Because charges sit on the reservation, they can be settled at checkout through AmenitizPay — no need to re-enter card details.
