When a guest needs an extra room on the same booking — a family member, a friend, an extension — you don't need to create a new reservation. Add the room directly to the existing booking instead.
The new room covers the same dates as the booking. You can set the occupancy, the price, and any extras when you add it.
Before you start
The booking must be a direct or manual booking. OTA bookings (Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia…) can't have rooms added — the OTA holds the source of truth.
The booking must be confirmed or modified. Cancelled and no-show bookings don't show the option.
The new room will cover the same arrival and departure dates as the existing booking.
Step-by-step guide
1. Open the booking
From the admin sidebar, go to Reservations. Click the booking you want to update and open View booking details.
2. Click Add accommodation
In the booking summary, click Add accommodation. You'll see the list of your rooms and their availability for the booking's dates.
3. Set occupancy, price and extras
Pick the room, then set the number of adults and children, the price for the stay, and any extras. Save to confirm. The new room is added to the booking and the total updates immediately.
Important rules
The booking total updates immediately after the new room is added.
City tax is added automatically to the new room based on your Settings > Taxes > City tax configuration.
VAT recalculates on the new room based on the price you set × the VAT rate.
OTA availability is decremented automatically across connected channels — you don't need to manually update Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.
AmenitizPay scheduled payments are not adjusted automatically. If the total goes up, charge the difference manually.
Issued invoices are not regenerated. An invoice that was already issued keeps its original amount — reissue it if you need the new total to appear.
You can override the room price manually in the form (instead of using the published rate plan rate).
Once the total reflects the new room, learn how to charge a card if you need to bill the difference, or refund a client if you later remove a room.
FAQs
Why don't I see "Add accommodation" on my booking?
Why don't I see "Add accommodation" on my booking?
The button is hidden in three cases: the booking came from an OTA (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.), the booking is cancelled, or the booking is marked as no-show. For OTA bookings, the OTA holds the source of truth for the booking, so rooms have to be added through the OTA's extranet instead.
Can I add a room for only part of the stay?
Can I add a room for only part of the stay?
No. The new room covers the same arrival and departure dates as the existing booking. If you need a room for only a few nights of a longer booking, the simplest path is to create a separate reservation for those nights.
What happens to AmenitizPay payments I've already scheduled?
What happens to AmenitizPay payments I've already scheduled?
They don't change automatically. The booking total in Payments updates, but any scheduled card charge stays as it was. If the new total is higher, charge the difference manually.
What happens to an invoice I've already issued?
What happens to an invoice I've already issued?
An issued invoice is not regenerated. It keeps the amount that was on it at the time of issuance. Reissue it if you need the new total to appear.
Will Booking.com or Airbnb see the new room?
Will Booking.com or Airbnb see the new room?
The added room is in your Amenitiz PMS only. Amenitiz does decrement OTA availability automatically so the room won't be sold twice — but the original guest's booking on the OTA still shows only the original room.
