How to change the text font on the website

Open the builder, click a block, tick Customize fonts in its Content section, then set title/text/button fonts in the Block fonts section. For the global font, use the Theme tab.

Overview

You can override the fonts on a specific block of your website — useful when one section needs to stand out from your global typography. This article walks through the per-block font override.

To change the font for the whole site, set it once under the Theme tab — see how to use the website builder.

Before you start

  • You need the Can edit the website permission to open the website builder. If the Customize button doesn't appear, ask your Account Owner.

  • The block override only affects that one block. Other blocks keep the global Theme typography.

  • For a consistent site, prefer the global Theme typography over per-block overrides. Use per-block fonts sparingly — typically for headline blocks or a hero section that needs to differ from the rest.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the website builder: go to WebsiteWebsite in the sidebar and click Customize in the top-right corner. You'll land on the home page — open the Pages tab to switch to another page if needed.

  2. Click the block whose fonts you want to change. The block's settings open in the side panel.

  3. In the side panel, open the Content section and tick Customize fonts.

  4. A Block fonts section appears. From here you can customise title, text and button fonts independently. For each, set the font family, size, style, weight, colour and alignment.

  5. Click Save to publish the change.

FAQs

I don't see the Customize fonts toggle on a block — why?

Not every block exposes the font override. If the Customize fonts checkbox isn't in the Content section of a block, that block uses the global Theme typography and can't be customised individually.

How do I revert a block back to the site's default fonts?

Open the block, untick Customize fonts and click Save. The block falls back to the global Theme typography immediately.

Can I change the font of my whole site in one place?

Yes — open the Theme tab of the website builder and set the typography there. That's the global default; per-block overrides only kick in where you've ticked Customize fonts. See how to use the website builder for the Theme walkthrough.

Can I upload my own custom font?

Yes — the Theme tab supports importing custom fonts into the system. Once imported, the font is available everywhere fonts can be chosen (Theme and block overrides).
