Overview
When you discount a bill that is already paid, or delete one of its charges, the bill total drops below what the guest paid and the bill shows an Overpaid badge.
If another bill on the same reservation still has an amount due, you can move that extra money onto it. Nothing is returned to the guest and nothing is collected again.
Only the overpaid amount can be moved, and a bill that receives it never ends up overpaid in turn.
Before you start
Reallocation works between bills on the same reservation. An overpayment cannot be moved to a bill on a different booking.
Only the overpaid part of a payment can be moved. The rest of the payment stays on the bill it was made against.
At least one other bill on the reservation must still have an amount due. If everything else is settled, there is nothing to reallocate to.

Step by step
Go to
Reservations, open the booking and clickView booking details.Open the
Billstab and find the bill with theOverpaidbadge.On that bill, use the overpayment banner to start the reallocation. The banner appears only when another bill on the reservation still has an amount due.
Review how the overpaid amount is spread across the bills still due. Amenitiz fills them starting with the lowest bill number.
Change the amount against each bill if you want a different split, then confirm.
Each bill that receives money updates its badge: Paid when the amount covers it in full, or Partially paid when it covers only part of it.
Important rules

Only the overpaid amount can be moved — never the rest of a payment. A payment that matches its bill exactly cannot be reallocated.

You can never move more than the total still due on the reservation. If the overpayment is larger than what the other bills owe, only the part that fits can be moved and the rest stays as an overpayment.
When several bills are overpaid, Amenitiz takes the money from the lowest bill number first. When several bills are due, it fills the lowest bill number first.
A guest's bill of €100 is paid in full. You cancel a €20 spa session, so the bill total becomes €80 and it shows Overpaid.
The guest then orders breakfast and a bike rental — €20 on a new bill.
Reallocate the €20: the first bill becomes Paid, the new bill becomes Paid, and the invoice you issue for both shows one €100 payment instead of a refund followed by a second payment.

Three things have to be true: a bill on the reservation shows Overpaid, another bill on the same reservation still has an amount due, and you have permission to manage payments. If every other bill is settled, there is nothing to move the money to and the banner stays hidden.

No. A bill can only become overpaid after its invoice has been cancelled, so the overpaid amount was never on an issued invoice. Moving it changes no invoice and creates no credit note.
