How to change price and availability for a specific day

Update the price or availability for one specific date — from the Inventory grid (30-day view), the Calendar (click a date → Edit availability and price), or the mobile app. Same-day changes sync to OTAs automatically.

Overview

Update the price or availability for one specific date directly — from Inventory, the Calendar, or the mobile app. Use whichever view fits your workflow: Inventory for grid-style overview across 30 days, Calendar for quick one-off changes, mobile for changes on the go.

For applying the same change across many dates at once (e.g. seasonal pricing), use the Bulk Update tool — see the tip at the bottom.


Before you start

  • Changes apply to the rate plan selected in the dropdown at the top of Inventory or the Calendar edit modal.

  • If other rate plans are derived from the one you change, they update automatically — you can't edit prices directly on a derived rate plan (edit the parent and the derivation rules apply).

  • Availability changes are per room category, not per individual booking. Setting availability to 3 means 3 units of that category are sellable on that day.

  • Increasing availability above your usual stock can lead to overbooking — Amenitiz shows a warning when this happens. Confirm only if you're sure.

  • Changes sync automatically to your Booking Engine and connected OTAs (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.). No manual sync needed.


From the Inventory

  1. Go to PlanningInventory in the sidebar.

  2. Use the date selector at the top to pick the period. The table shows 30 days from the selected start date.

  3. Each row shows Availability and Price per room category. Click the cell for the date you want to update.

  4. Enter the new price (for that day's rate) or the new availability (number of rooms in that category open for that date).

  5. Changes save automatically — a green Saved successfully message confirms.


From the Calendar

Day-by-day quick edits, no need to switch pages — ideal for reopening a room after a cancellation, or bumping the price on a date that's filling fast.

  1. Go to PlanningCalendar.

  2. Click the specific date you want to modify.

  3. From the menu that appears, select Edit availability and price.

  4. Update the price or availability for that date. Price affects the rate for the day; availability adjusts how many rooms of that category are open to sell for that specific date.

  5. Confirm — the change saves instantly without leaving the Calendar.


From the mobile app

  1. Open the Amenitiz app and go to Inventory.

  2. Tap the date you want to edit.

  3. Select the room category and update the price or availability.

  4. Changes save automatically.

FAQs

Does changing the rate for a specific date affect other dates or my default pricing?

No. Changes made to a specific date apply only to that date. Other dates and your default pricing stay as they are. For broader updates across many dates, use the Bulk Update tool.


Can I edit the price on a derived rate plan?

No — prices on derived rate plans are calculated from the parent plan using the derivation rules (e.g. -10% of Standard). To change a derived rate's price, change the parent rate plan and the derivation flows through automatically. To break the derivation, switch the plan to independent pricing first.


I increased availability and Amenitiz warned me about overbooking — why?

Setting availability higher than your current stock for that date can mean you're committing to sell more rooms than you have. The warning is there to make sure that's intentional — confirm only if you've genuinely freed up extra capacity. Otherwise cancel and check what's going on.


Do these changes sync to my OTAs?

Yes. Both price and availability changes flow automatically to your Booking Engine and any connected OTAs (Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, etc.). The sync usually takes a couple of minutes.


Can I apply different prices to different periods using Bulk Updates?

Yes. Run the Bulk Update tool once per period — set a date range, choose Set price or Increase by, apply. Repeat for the next period with different values. Cleanest way to set seasonal pricing.
