How to understand your Inventory

Read and edit the combined view of availability, prices and rate plans for your rooms in Amenitiz.

Overview

This article explains what the Inventory is in Amenitiz — the combined view of room availability, prices and rate plans for a given date range — and how to read it.

Use this article before you edit prices, close dates, or push rates to OTAs.

Before you start

  • Only users with Admin, Editor, or Limited access (for their assigned rooms) can open the Inventory.

  • Inventory changes push to your website, Booking Engine and connected OTAs in near real time.

  • Be careful when bulk-editing — a wrong value can oversell or undersell rooms.

Step-by-step instructions

Read the Inventory grid

  • Go to Inventory in the sidebar.

  • Each row is a rate plan for a room type; each column is a date.

  • A cell shows: the availability, the price, and the restrictions (minimum stay, closed to arrival, closed to departure).

  • Colour codes: green = open, red = closed, grey = no rate plan.

Edit a single cell

  • Click a cell → the edit panel opens on the right.

  • Update the Price, Availability, or Restrictions.

  • Click Save → the change pushes to OTAs within a minute.

Bulk edit a date range

  • Click Bulk edit at the top.

  • Pick the date range, the room types, and the rate plans.

  • Enter the target price or restrictions and click Apply.

⚠️ Warning

Bulk edits overwrite existing values on every selected cell. Preview the scope and double-check price and stay restrictions before clicking Apply.

FAQs

How fast does a change reach OTAs?

Usually under a minute. OTAs may take longer to reflect the change on their public listings — up to 15 minutes for some channels.

Why is a cell grey?

The rate plan is not linked to that room type, or the room type has no units for the date. Link the rate plan in PricingRate plans to activate the cell.

Can I export the Inventory?

Yes. Click Export at the top of the Inventory page. Choose CSV for bookkeeping or XLSX for spreadsheet work.
