Overview
For a date to be bookable, two things must be true:
The rate is open.
The availability (rooms to sell) is greater than 0.
You can do this for a date range, or keep things open automatically with an Availability Window. If you only need to open or close rates step by step, see Opening or closing rates.
Step by step
Scenario A — Keep availability open automatically (Availability Window)
Use when: you want your calendar to stay open for a rolling period into the future, without daily updates.
Go to
Booking engine→Pricing.Select the rate plan you want to keep open.
Click
Availability Window→ the✎edit icon.Choose how far ahead you want the rate open (for example, 6 or 12 months).
Click
Save.
📌 Note
Dates you closed manually in Planning → Inventory stay closed until you reopen them.
You still need availability > 0 for those dates to be bookable.
If you sell on OTAs, make sure the rate plan is mapped and open on each channel.
Scenario B — Open or close a range of dates (bulk)
Use when: you want to update many days or weeks at once — for example, a season or a campaign.
Go to
Planning→Bulk update.Select the room type(s) and rate plan(s) you want to change.
Choose the date range.
Choose the action
Set availability.Enter the number of rooms available:
0 closes those dates.
1 or more opens them with that many rooms.
Click
Applyto confirm.Back in the Inventory calendar, review the affected range to confirm it shows as open (green) or closed (red).
Scenario C — Open availability for a single date
Use when: you only need to open one day, or a very small number of days.
Open the rate for that date in
Planning→Bulk update(set it to open).Go to
Planning→Inventoryand enter availability > 0 for that date.Verify on your calendar that the date shows as open with stock.
