How to understand the Performance Page

Learn how to use and interpret the Performance Page in Amenitiz, including key metrics, trends, filters and channel mix insights based on official calculation logic.

Overview

The Performance Page provides a visual overview of your property’s performance over time.

It helps you:

  • Monitor revenue and occupancy trends

  • Analyse pricing performance

  • Compare time periods

  • Understand booking sources

All metrics follow the official definitions. This article focuses on how to use the page and interpret its data.


Step-by-step instructions

1. Access the Performance Page

  • Go to the left-hand navigation menu.

  • Click Performance.

2. Select your date range and filters

  • Choose a date range at the top of the page.

  • Apply filters (room type, property, booking source) if needed.

  • Use comparison options (previous period or year-over-year) to analyse trends.

Performance tab

The Performance tab provides an overview of your bookings and revenue over time.

Key indicators

Indicator

Simplified definition (full explanation here)

Gross revenue

Total revenue generated during the selected period.

Includes:

  • Room revenue

  • Extras

  • City tax

  • Discounts

Occupancy rate

Percentage of available rooms that were booked.

Formula: Rooms sold ÷ Rooms available × 100

ADR (Average Daily Rate)

Average room revenue per booked room-night.

Formula: Room revenue ÷ Rooms sold

RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room)

Average room revenue per available room-night.

Formula: Room revenue ÷ Rooms available

Booking window

Average number of days between booking creation and arrival.

Length of stay (ALOS)

Average number of nights per booking.

Visual charts and trends

The Performance tab includes charts to help you analyse:

  • Revenue trends

  • Occupancy changes

  • Seasonal patterns

  • Booking behaviour over time

Use these visuals to identify high and low demand periods and monitor performance evolution.

Channel Mix tab

The Channel Mix tab shows where your bookings and revenue originate.

Booking sources

Bookings are grouped by source, such as:

  • Direct bookings (website, booking engine, manual bookings)

  • OTA bookings (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia)

  • Other connected channels

Revenue contribution and comparisons

You can analyse:

  • Percentage contribution per channel

  • Revenue amounts per channel

  • Performance across different time periods

Use comparison tools to evaluate changes over time.

Why does revenue differ from the Registered Payments report?

The Performance Page uses stay-date logic. The Registered Payments report follows payment-date (cashflow) logic.


Can I compare different periods?

Yes, use comparison options such as previous period or year-over-year.


Can I filter by booking source?

Yes, filters allow you to focus on specific channels or segments.
