How to export the HESTA report for the Swiss Federal Statistical Office

Swiss property? Activate the Omnisoftory app in your Amenitiz Marketplace to generate the HESTA report. Export the file from Reports, then upload it manually to HESTA.

If your property is in Switzerland, you may be legally required to submit guest statistics to the Federal Statistical Office (HESTA). Amenitiz makes this easier: activate the Omnisoftory app (powered by Easycheckin) and you'll get a ready-to-export HESTA report directly from your account.

⚠️ This is not a direct integration. Amenitiz does not send the report to HESTA automatically. You'll need to download the file and upload it manually to HESTA.

Before you start

  • Your property must be located in Switzerland.

  • You need Marketplace access in your Amenitiz account.

  • Guest information must be captured in your reservations (full name, nationality, dates) so the report can be generated.

Step-by-step

1. Activate the Omnisoftory app from the Marketplace

  1. In your Amenitiz dashboard, open the Marketplace.

  2. Search for Omnisoftory.

  3. Click Activate.

Search Omnisoftory in the Marketplace

Click Activate

2. Find the HESTA report under Reports

Once Omnisoftory is activated, open Reports → Reports and scroll to the bottom of the list. A new entry titled Omnisoftory / Report for HESTA will be available.

3. Export the report

  1. Open the Omnisoftory / Report for HESTA entry.

  2. Choose the date range that HESTA requires (typically the previous month).

  3. Download the generated file. It comes out as an Excel file (.xlsx).

4. Upload the file to HESTA

Log into your HESTA (or local Easycheckin) account and upload the file there. Amenitiz only generates the file — the submission is done by you on the HESTA side.

Important rules

  • The integration is one-way. Amenitiz generates the file; you submit it to HESTA yourself.

  • Guest data must be complete. Missing nationality, name or date fields will produce an incomplete report. Make sure check-in data is captured properly.

  • Activate Omnisoftory once. Once enabled, the report stays available month after month — no need to reactivate it each period.

FAQs

Does Amenitiz send the HESTA report automatically?

No. The file is generated in your account, but you must download it and upload it to HESTA (or Easycheckin) manually.

What is Omnisoftory and Easycheckin?

Omnisoftory is the company behind Easycheckin, a Swiss web platform that simplifies guest data collection and distribution to local authorities (Federal Statistical Office, cantonal police, tourist-tax centres, Tourism Observatory). The Amenitiz Marketplace app outputs a file in the format Easycheckin / HESTA expects.

Where do I see the HESTA report once Omnisoftory is activated?

Go to Reports → Reports. The HESTA report appears at the bottom of the list, labelled Omnisoftory / Report for HESTA.

The report is missing data — what should I check?

Verify that every reservation in the requested period has complete guest data: full name, nationality, dates of stay. If any field is empty, the corresponding line in the report will be incomplete.

I need help with the upload to Easycheckin / HESTA — who do I contact?

For Amenitiz-side issues (generating or downloading the report), contact Amenitiz support. For Easycheckin or HESTA-side issues (upload, account access, validation errors on their platform), contact Easycheckin directly at [email protected].

How do I deactivate Omnisoftory?

Contact Amenitiz support to deactivate the app from your account.
