Want a calendar that suits your unique style? You can tweak your calendar to display what matters most to you — whether it's room categories, housekeeping status, or emojis for extras. Here's how.

Before you start

These settings only change how the calendar looks for you. They don't affect bookings, rates or anything guests see.
You can change them as often as you like, and reset to the defaults at any time.

Step-by-step instructions

Pick your calendar density. Before opening the settings, choose how detailed you want the calendar. Top-right of the calendar, open the view menu and choose one of:
- Expanded — more details, extra info on each booking.
- Compact — a cleaner, more minimal display.
Open the calendar settings. Go to Calendar in the sidebar, then click the Settings button in the top-right corner.
Choose your preferences. Toggle on what you want to see:
- Split calendar by room categories — see different room types at a glance.
- Show housekeeping status — display cleaning status directly on the calendar. Hover a room to see its details and its current status.
- Show unit prices on calendar — show unit prices on each cell.
- Show emojis assigned to extras — visually tag your extras with emojis. Head over to your Extras section to assign them.
- Show PriceAdvisor recommendations on calendar — if you're subscribed to PriceAdvisor, display its price suggestions in the calendar.
- Booking colors — personalise how bookings are coloured. Pick one of:
  - By booking status (Booked, Checked in, Checked out)
  - By payment status
  - By booking source
Save your settings. Once you're happy with the customisations, click Save — the calendar reflects your new preferences immediately.

💡 Tip

You can pick a different colour for each option. Open the dropdown next to each status to adjust it.

FAQs

Do these settings change the calendar for my whole team?

No — these are display preferences only. They control what you see on your screen; they don't change any booking data, rates or anything guests see.

I toggled "Show emojis" but nothing appears — why?

Emojis show up next to extras only once you've assigned one to each extra. Go to your Extras section and add an emoji to each extra you want to surface.

I don't see PriceAdvisor recommendations — why?

The toggle only works if you're subscribed to PriceAdvisor. Without a PriceAdvisor subscription the option is shown but no recommendations populate.

Can I have a different colour per booking source / payment status?

Yes. Under Booking colors, pick the dimension you want (booking status, payment status or source) and then open the dropdown next to each individual status to set the colour.

What appears when I hover a room, and can I choose it?

With Show housekeeping status turned on, hover a room in the calendar to see:

the room's name
its beds, its view, and whether it has a shared bathroom or a balcony
the maximum number of Adults and Children
its Housekeeping status

These details are fixed: you can't choose which ones appear. To change what they say, edit the room's name (see the next question) or the accommodation's details in Accommodation.

Which room names and numbers appear, and what do my cleaners see?

Each room in the calendar shows its number and, if you've given it one, its own name. These are for you and your team only. On your booking engine, guests see the name of the accommodation type instead, for example "Double room".

To change a room's number or name, hover the room in the calendar on your computer, click the edit icon and update it in Edit room. Your cleaners see the same number and name in Housekeeping, together with the accommodation type. You can't choose which of these appear.

How to customise your Calendar View
