How to register a check-in or check-out

Register a check-in or check-out from a booking's details panel — open the booking from the Calendar or the Reservations list, click the button on the relevant room. Reversible, and the same flow works on the mobile app.

Overview

When a guest arrives or leaves, you register the check-in or check-out in Amenitiz so the booking's status is up to date — useful for occupancy reports, housekeeping, and OTAs that track guest status.

You register check-in/check-out one booking at a time, from the booking's details panel. The same flow works on the mobile app.


Before you start

  • Check-out is only available once the booking is already checked in — you can't skip directly from "Booked" to "Checked out".

  • Check-in and check-out are both reversible — if you register one by mistake, the same button flips to Cancel Check-in / Cancel Check-out.

  • Registering a check-in/check-out doesn't change the dates of the booking — it just stamps the status. To shift the actual stay dates, see how to edit dates of stay in a reservation.

Register check-in or check-out

  1. Open the booking from PlanningCalendar, or from the Reservations list.

  2. Click See booking details to open the side panel.

  3. Scroll to the summary section. Each room in the booking shows a Register Check-in button (or Register Check-out once it's already checked in). Click the right one.

  4. To undo, click the same button — it now reads Cancel Check-in or Cancel Check-out.


FAQs

Can I register check-in from the mobile app?

Yes. Log into the Amenitiz app, open the reservation from the Activity tab or the Calendar tab, and tap Register check-in in the booking details. Same flow as the web.


I registered the wrong check-in — how do I cancel it?

Open the booking from the Calendar or Reservations list, scroll to the summary section, and click Cancel Check-in. The booking returns to Booked status. Same pattern for cancelling a check-out.


My booking has multiple rooms — do they check in/out together?

No, each room is checked in and out independently. From the booking details summary, you'll see a separate Register Check-in / Register Check-out button per room. Click each one you want to update.


Will registering check-in send a notification to the guest?

No. Check-in/check-out registration is an internal status change — no email or notification goes to the guest. If you want to send a welcome message, do that separately from the booking's communication tab.
