Learn how to manage daily breakfast service, view upcoming demand, and export reports using the Breakfast Management feature in Amenitiz.

Updated this week

Overview

The Breakfast Management feature helps you manage, plan, and analyse your breakfast service from a single place.

You can use it to:

  • See which guests have breakfast on a given day

  • Add breakfast quickly to bookings

  • Forecast upcoming demand

  • Export reports for operations and analysis

The feature is divided into three main areas:

  1. Daily view (operations)

  2. Week forecast (planning)

  3. Reports (analysis)

Before you start

The Breakfast page is only available if your property has at least one of the following:

  • A breakfast extra configured with the correct category

  • A rate plan that includes a meal (e.g. breakfast, half board, full board)

If none of these are set up, the Breakfast page and dashboard widget will not be visible.

FAQs

Why can't I see the Breakfast tab?

The Breakfast page is only visible if breakfast is configured in your property. Make sure you have:

  • A breakfast extra with the correct category, or

  • A rate plan that includes a meal

If neither is set up, the Breakfast tab will not appear.

Why can't I add breakfast to a room?

Check if:

  • Breakfast is already included in the rate plan

  • A breakfast charge already exists

  • No breakfast extra is configured

Why does a breakfast added from the reservation not appear here?

Breakfast will appear in this view only if it is added as a charge with the "Breakfast" category and assigned to the correct date.

What is the difference between "occupied rooms" and "rooms with breakfast"?

  • Occupied rooms = all rooms with a booking

  • Rooms with breakfast = rooms where at least one guest has breakfast

Why are guest numbers different from room numbers?

Because one room can include multiple guests. Metrics are calculated per guest.

What does "Nights left" mean?

It shows how many nights remain in the guest's stay from the selected date.

Why does the forecast change?

It updates automatically based on reservation changes (new bookings, cancellations, edits).

Does the forecast include walk-in guests?

No. It only includes reservations in the system.

Which report should I use for daily operations?

Use the Detailed PDF report.

Which report is best for analysis?

Use the CSV export.

Does the system recognise breakfast from OTAs automatically?

If breakfast is included as part of the rate plan, it will be reflected.

Why is a guest not showing breakfast on the arrival day?

Breakfast follows stay-date logic:

  • No breakfast on check-in day

  • Breakfast included during stay and on check-out day
