This article explains how to manually open or close a rate plan for a specific day from your inventory. This is useful when you need to quickly adjust availability for specific dates without changing your overall pricing or restriction strategy.

It also clarifies how manual changes interact with automated rules such as the closing window.


Before you start

  • You must have access to the Inventory section of your Amenitiz platform

  • This action applies to individual dates only (not recurring rules)


Step-by-step instructions

Open or close a rate plan for a specific day (desktop)

  1. Go to Inventory from the sidebar of your Amenitiz administrator area

  2. Click on Planning → Rate Plans

  3. Locate the room and rate plan you want to manage

  4. Select the box corresponding to the date and room

To open a rate:

  • Click on the red icon

  • Confirm it turns green (the rate is now open for that date)

To close a rate:

  • Click on the green icon

  • Confirm it turns red (the rate is now closed for that date)

The change is saved automatically.


Apply changes to multiple dates

  1. Use the Bulk Update option

  2. Select the date range and rate plan

  3. Apply the open or close action

Open or close rates from Global view

  1. Go to Inventory → Global view

  2. Locate the Rate restriction section

  3. Open or close the rate for each room as needed


Open or close a rate plan from the mobile app

  1. Go to the Inventory section

  2. Select the rate plan you want

  4. Select the room

  5. Choose to open or close the rate plan

FAQs

Why does my rate reopen or close automatically after I change it?

This may happen if a closing window is configured on the rate. This automated rule continuously updates availability and may override manual changes.


Can I automate rate closures instead of doing this manually?

Yes. You can use the closing window to automatically stop a rate from being bookable a certain number of days before arrival.


What is the difference between manual closure and the closing window?

Manual closure applies to specific dates you select. The closing window applies automatically and continuously based on the number of days before arrival.


Why is my rate still closed after disabling automation?

Disabling the closing window stops future automation but does not reopen previously closed dates. You must reopen them manually.
