Overview
Block a room from your calendar to make it unavailable for bookings, and unblock it when you want to make it available again. You can do this from the web extranet or the Amenitiz mobile app.

In this article we use room. If you're a property manager, the same flow applies to your accommodations.
Step-by-step instructions
Block a room from the Calendar
Go to
Planning → Calendar.Click the empty cell (the square for the room and date you want to block). A menu appears with three options: New booking, Block Room, and Edit price and availability.
Select
Block Room.
The Update room status form opens. Fill in:
A period (start and end date)
A status: Out Of Inventory, Out Of Order, or Pre booked
A reason
Click
Save.
Block a room from the Inventory
Go to
Planning → Inventory.Find the room and day you want to block, and set its availability to 0.
The room will be blocked for that day on both the booking engine and the OTAs.
Block a room from the mobile app
Log in to the Amenitiz mobile application. You can block a room from the calendar or from the inventory.
From the calendar
Tap the icon at the top right of the day and room you want to block.
Set a period, a status (Out Of Inventory / Out Of Order / Pre booked) and add a reason — the same options as on the web.
From the inventory
Go to the Inventory section and tap the day you want to block a room.
Choose the room and change the availability to 0 for that room.
The room will be blocked, and it will not be possible to book it for this day, on both the booking engine and the OTAs.
Unblock a room
To unblock a room, click (or tap, on mobile) the blocked cell on your calendar. The same Update room status modal opens — set the status to Available and click
Save.💡 Tip
Blocking a room from your calendar automatically updates the availability in your inventory, on your booking engine and on connected OTAs.

Yes. Once a room is blocked for a given day, it will not be possible to book it for that day on your booking engine or on your connected OTAs.

The options are the same (period, status, reason). The entry points differ: on the web you click an empty cell in the calendar and select Block Room; on the mobile app you tap the icon at the top right of the day and room.
