How to see who changed your rates, availability and restrictions

The Activity log lists every change to your availability, rates and restrictions: the value before and after, the date, and who made it — a team member, a channel, a pricing tool or Amenitiz support.

Overview

The Activity log shows every change made to your availability, rates and restrictions: what changed, the value before and after, when it happened, and who made it.

The person or system behind a change can be a member of your team, one of your connected channels, a connected pricing tool, or Amenitiz support.

Open it when a price, an open date or a minimum stay is not what you expect, and you want to know where that value came from.

Before you start

Account owners can open the Activity log. To give it to someone else, the account owner ticks Can see the Activity log on that member's level of access — see How to manage user permissions on your Amenitiz account.

The Activity log is available on every plan.

Step by step

See what changed across your property

  1. Go to Activity log in the sidebar. On a phone, tap More, then Activity log.

  2. Choose the period: Today, 7D, 30D, or Custom to set your own dates. One period covers up to 92 days; use the arrows to move to the period before or after it.

  3. Open Filters and narrow the list by Changed by, Room type, Rate plan and Type — availability, rates or restrictions. Type a room type or a colleague's name in the search box to go straight to their changes.

  4. Read each line: what changed, the value before and after, the day it applies to, and who made it.

  5. Click Show details on a line to open the full detail, including the reason for the change, the reservation behind it, and the exact time.

  6. A bulk update opens as one line rather than one line per date. Click See each change inside it to read the individual changes.

Check one date on your Inventory

  1. Go to Inventory in the sidebar.

  2. Click the date you want to check on that room. The History panel opens beside it.

  3. Read what happened to that room on that night, grouped into availability, price and restrictions, with the current value at the top of each group.

  4. Keep All rate plans to cover every plan sold on that room, or pick one rate plan to read it on its own.

  5. Click See all activity for this room to open the same room and date in the Activity log.

For the grid itself, see How to understand your Inventory.

Export the changes to a file

  1. Set the period and the filters you want to export.

  2. Click Export CSV.

  3. Wait for the email. We send the file to the address you log in with, with the whole period attached as a CSV — not only the changes on screen.

⚠️ Important

The Activity log covers your availability, rates and restrictions. Changes to a reservation — its dates, its guest or its status — live in the reservation itself: see How to check the history of a booking.

When someone at Amenitiz changes your inventory, the entry reads Amenitiz support rather than a name.

FAQs

How far back does the Activity log go?

You read it one period at a time, up to 92 days per period, and move back with the arrow beside the dates.

Why does an entry say Amenitiz automation?

Either the change came from Amenitiz itself — for example a reservation releasing a room — or it is an older entry recorded before we started saving who made every change. Recent entries name the team member, the channel or the tool.

A colleague has left my team. Do their changes disappear?

No. Their changes stay in the log and read Former team member once the account is removed.

Does it show what my channels do to my inventory?

Yes. A change pushed by a connected channel carries that channel's name, and a change from a connected pricing tool carries the tool's name. Filter on Changed by to see only those.

Why does a bulk update show as a single line?

So one update does not fill the page with hundreds of near-identical lines. The line tells you what was changed, on which rooms and which dates; open See each change for the detail. See How to use the Bulk Update tool.

My export has not arrived. What can I do?

Check the spam folder of the address you log in with, then try again from the Activity log. An export stops at 50,000 entries, so narrow the period or the filters if your file looks short.
